Unicorn rifle scope - it can’t be just me…

S2h scope is so heavy zerotech don't even publish the weight on their website.... but about 26 oz (750gm) - unfortunately misses the mark widely on making a LW FFP scope and falls pretty square in the bracket of existing over weight products
That's in line with most FFP scopes of that mag range and reliability - the three most relevant comparison scopes would be the LRHS/LRTS 4-16, Maven RS1.2, and Trijicon Tenmile 3-18.

March F 3-24x42 is 20.8 oz (590 gm) for FFP, 30mm, very robust & reliable so it is possible to do
Do you have a link to some testing of the March that shows it to be 'very robust and reliable'? I'm sure many of us would be interested in seeing that.

yes, as i said, it is in line with existing options

I don't believe in throwing scopes on the ground, but in several years of actual hard use in competition/work/recreational hunting I have documented no POI shifts with regular zero checks across 3 different March F scopes, some of these I have posted in this thread.

I have not experienced any issues with reliability or function.

Correction- the 3-9 is still an 1/4moa adjustment on the turrets.

The 2.5-12 is .1mil adjustments
The 2.5-12.5 is interesting ... still 22.4 oz, so a bit of a weight savings, but not massively so, from the LRTS/RS1.2/RokScope range. And quite a jump up from the 3-9's 13.4 oz ...

Stuck with SFP but at least parallax is 10 y to infiinity.

I would love it even more in mils, with a 30mm tube, uncapped turrets, and <12 ounces. To me, that should be the design goal for the lightweight S2H scope.
I'm with you.

Do we have a dedicated thread about 'What's the next scope you want Shoot2Hunt / @Formidilosus / @ZeroTech Optics to bring to market?' or are we still piling them into one of the existing three other threads? I think I lost track along the way ...

Would you buy this scope?
16oz 2-8x32?
Or fixed 8x32?

Mil turrets
Capped windage
THLR or Mil dot duplex reticle.
Can pass a drop test.

Yes! Except a 2.5-10 or 3-9 because it’s nostalgic.

I think objective diameter is going to be the main compromise to get it in the mid teens for weight while still passing a drop test.

Probably 32 or 36mm objective.
It’s starting to sound a lot like one of the OG 2.5-10 NF NXS
