Anybody have thoughts on the UA vs SG Grumman?

I have both. They are entirely different jackets to me.

The SG Grumman is lighter, more compact, and what is in my pack at all times. If you want the quintessential puffy that doesn't take up weight or space in pack, its the way to go.

The UA Parka is only going to be used by me when I know I will be glassing in brutally cold situations.

Does anyone have this one? Not much info on it but looks great to throw in the pack.
I have the parka. My uncle got the hoodie, I tried it on and was tempted to order one myself, but decided I don’t really need it. It was warmer than I expected for being called a hoodie, it’s a nice jacket

Could you give a lil rundown on the 2 since you've had both in hand. Differences in material, quietness, loftyness, warmth, fit, etc?

Has anyone found a size guide for sleeve length? I found a chest size list but nothing on the sleeves. I need a 2XL which usually comes with 37”+ sleeves.

If I remember correct the material is the same. Both have plenty of down in in them, the parka is super warm, warmer than my super down pro for sure. The hoodie was warmer than I expected, not sure what to compare it to, but there was more fill in it than I expected. The parka fits big, but that’s why it’s called a parka. The hoodie fit like a regular jacket. Here’s a super down pro and the UA parka both in large. I would say the hoodie fit fairly similar to the super down pro

Not to get too far off topic but does anyone have experience with the deep freeze stuff?

Parka is also great for those single digit utv drives in the morning. Have the pants as well! Best bang for the buck in my opinion!

How are the sizes between the 2? The parka runs big so most order a size down. Can the same be said about the hoodie?

I generally jump between L and XL and for reference I’m always an XL in Sitka/kuiu, L in first lite. (5’10” 190 lbs)
I got a medium and large in the parka and the large was too big.
I got a large in the hoodie and I would have been fine going with an XL. I don’t think I can layer much under the hoodie, it’s definitely a tighter fit.
Maybe the hoodie needs some time to puff up but it doesn’t seem like any 700 fill jackets I have/had, seems much less.
Having said that it’s still a nice jacket for the price and I’ll keep it.
