UM-built 6mm-284: Initial Range Report

Nothing yet. Been sidetracked by a 300WSM build that's on the docket for a cow elk hunt in January. I'll get back on the 6-284 once I draw a decent tag for next year.


I doubt I'll mess with it in this rifle. Retumbo is giving me good velocity, good fill, and it burns clean. I've got a pile of it, and don't see any need to fool with N570 in this rifle.

What bullet are you getting 2900fps with the 6XC?

Interesting. I would expect a fairly significant velocity difference between the two bullet weights, especially with the relatively long bearing surface of the DTAC.

Ah, gotcha. I've only messed with the 108 and 109 ELDMs, haven't used the 106. Good to know!
