I ordered some ammo from UM for the first time last week because I really wanted ti give the 215 berger hybrid targets a go. I just had to say I’m pumped to start shooting these! The buying process was easy and the packaging and labeling is on point as well! Anybody gone from hornady factory ammo to these in their 300 prc? Just curious what changes you saw from an accuracy and velocity standpoint.

Mine shot 3070 FPS out of my 24 inch carbonsix barrel with very low SD. Accuracy was about the same as the factory ammo and the hand loads I worked up. Accuracy is gun dependent though so there’s no guessing what your gun likes.

That's screaming for a 24" barrel with 215s!

Follow Up

Will be using these for 2 mule deer hunts this year and possible an elk hunt. I finally switched over to these after shooting the Hornady match grade all summer. My rifle LOVES this ammo. With a 22” barrel I’m averaging 2950 fps which is about 200 fps faster than the factory stuff.

Highly recommend!

Good to see they have 14 boxes ready to load as well! Wish all the other common loads have that many in stock. The 6.5 creed, 6.5 PRC and 280 AI loads we use from them haven’t been replenished in months. Keep waiting for them to add 7 PRC too. Might have to try choice or Hemdershot.

I’ve been trying to find something like the 215 to work out of my 22” Seekins element
If you reload I’d try the 200.2xs They were made to be a shorter alternative to the 215s. We shot 5 cows with them from 400- 890 yards last January and they were all DOI except for the 890 yard shot which went about 40 yards with a good blood trail and fell over.

Does anybody send the brass back to them to reload? I’m thinking I might buy another box of 50 and have them reload for me since I lack the patience and time to do it myself right now.
