I read a review this guy did on a sleeping bag. Not a hunter but i think we could learn from his list.

3 day gear list from 9-16 lbs pretty impressive.

I have seen lists like this before from the "ultra light" back packers. I don't think it translates to hunters. We need heavier packs capable of handling heavy loads, weapon of choice, optics hunting related gear and generally more food. If you were to add up just the items listed I would venture to say a lot of back pack hunters are not to far off from the 16 pound range.

I tend to agree with RosinBag. It would not be all that difficult to obtain the 9-16lb pack, the issue becomes utility vs weight savings. I highly doubt even the 17oz pack will carry 50lbs of meat well.
Not to mention that his listed shelter weight on The One is a little sketchy....or just omissions of seam sealer, hiking/tent poles, and stakes.
