Scope tracking test. Target is level and 100.3 yards

Shots 1-6 walked up target, RTZ shot 7 and 20 and 25 MOA shot 8 and 9.

I am pleased with the tracking results on my 3-15x44 Windplex VX5HD.

I trued my BC and hit center plate at 1K yards.

I disagree with your assessment. For those of us that have little or no experience shooting long range, this thread has meaning. It shows an issue, possible causes, troubleshooting steps, and resolution. Many people would say that it's a good learning experience. At any rate, it's far more beneficial than your meaningless reply.

I prefer Jackass. This is why you run a tall turret test to validate your corrections before shit canning your dope. It's also why ballistic programs increasingly feature "truing".

I’d recommend watching Hornady’s 4DOF tutorial videos on YouTube and reading their 4DOF white paper. Both of these resources address the questions you’ve asked and refute some of the poor advice given by others in this thread.

I shoot out to 1K at my gun club all the time with my VX5HDs. I’ve never had tracking issues. The glass, forgiving eye box and large FOV and excellent low light performance of the Leupold VX5HD makes it an excellent hunting scope.

I’ve got 4 VX5HDs and so far I haven’t had any major tracking issues granted I haven’t stretched them out much past 500.

I haven’t had any tracking issues with my 6.5 CM. The issues arose when I put the VX5HD on my 7mm STW. As discussed earlier, I adjusted my BC in my StrelokPro app and I am done.
