I am seriously considering buying a Two Vets Recon V2 Inverted tripod and trying to decide which ball head to go with. I know the 65mm will hold more weight and also weigh a little more vs the 55mm, which is not a concern for me. However, it's only a little more money.....so, should I consider just getting the 65mm and be done with it or is the 55mm better?? Love to hear your opinions!

if your willing to spend that kind of money, look at getting the anvil 30 for a little more. But that depends on your use case. The anvil is the best head for shooting from.

Yes, I do keep reading very good things about the Anvil 30. Not sure if it's worth the premium over the 65mm ball head...... I don't hunt and will mostly use for range shooting and glassing. If not the Anvil 30 (which I will take a closer look at....this is a RRS product if I'm not mistaken) would you go 55mm or 65mm ball head? Thanks much!

Yes rrs anvil 30. It is just much quicker and easier to shoot off and locks up solid, the two vets are decent, just slower and more finicky to adjust. The pan feature for use with a spotter is a nice addition. I haven’t used the 65 so I’m not sure on it, I would think it can just lock up a little tighter and hold with a heavy rifle on top. The 55 was decent but I much prefer the anvil. The recon v2 is an excellent tripod if your on the fence about it. the only problem I’ve had with mine are the rubber on the twist locks gets loose a then they just spin. I had to re glue mine on.
