Planning to buy a new recurve and deciding which one to get. I want to hunt turkey this spring and deer in the fall with it if I’m shootings good enough by May. Anyone else hunting turkeys with a trad bow? And have you found an advantage to a shorter bow? I like to stay mobile and not hunt out of a blind, so will probably be shooting off my knees.

Heck yeah a short bow is an advantage in a GB.

A guy could get a really big Blind...or the best strategy IMO, one without a top on it....just some type of brush or camo netting.

I whacked a limb shooting at a Javalina 8' in front of one of those small cheap GB's in 2018- totally whiffed it...in fact my top limb ripped the blind....and I missed by 5'.

If you go the GB route.... ..get the biggest tallest one you can get....even with a short bow.
