So what turkey loads are you running in your shotgun?

I have been running some cheap Federal Strut Shoks through my 12 gauge. 3" with #6s. They pattern fairly well through my Wingmaster at 30yds but when I get to 40 the pattern is just ok.

Put down your suggestions!

12ga 3" #4 thru #6 for me. I'm not brand specific on the shells. I have a couple of shotguns that I run Pattern Master choke tubes on and they will reach out there if the tom you want hangs up a little far out.

I don't bang them, but my buddy kills the crap out of them with a 20 gauge heavy shot turkey load #6 and magnum blend out to 40 yards with ease... Hevi shot is the load Id go with.

I use the Winchester XR 3 1/2 inch #6's with a Kick's Gobbling Thunder choke tube. My gun is a Mossberg 935 Ultimag. Gun has killed 15 plus birds. I've taken birds at 54 steps.

TSS, it's tungsten and will kill a turkey further than most guys are willing to take a shot. It's pretty well the only thing the diehards I know will shoot. They generally load 1 5/8oz of number 9's in a 3" 20ga and get patterns in the 250/250 range at 40 yards for a 10" and 20" circle. It's not cheap (generally about $6-7/shell), but it's straight death.
