Turkey late fly down

watching this flock they seem to fly down later then the others. This morning there was a coyote yipping and they all flew back up is this normal i've never seen this before.

I believe turkeys spend more time in the trees during the day than we realize?

I have seen them spend hours on the roosts, typically on foggy wet mornings.

One bird I shot years ago flew down, went past me gobbling then flew up in a tree on a field edge. Then flew back down a while later and came right back to me.

it was a pretty bright morning too do they not really talk i've shot a few birds now in couple states but this was weird to me

A lot of people don’t realize that it is natural for a gobbler to sit on a limb until its hens are under it.
