Tuning with cam shims

Ok guys, I’ve been doing archery for a lot of years. All I’ve done has been paper tuning using the rest and nock point to achieve good flight.

I’m getting a Prime Inline and it has the cam shims to assist with tuning. I don’t know how that works. Do you move the cams left and right to work on tail left and right flight? If so which direction do you move them? Thanks.

Watched a vid from one of the You Tubers and he put it pretty good.
It was a mathews vid but same applies.
Cams shimmed is like a Macro adjustment to get it close. then the rest adjustment to micro tune to get it perfect.
