Anyone know anything about Truevelocity ammunition? Looks like some sort of polymer material with a steel primer pocket to replace traditional brass. The company boasts single digit SD’s.

Don’t think you can reload the casings either. Stuffs pretty expensive for something that you can’t reload.

I worked on the race team that was sponsored by them last year so I got a couple boxes to mess around with. Out of some of my rifles it shot fine and out of others not as great. I think they mentioned that you could send back the spent casings to be reloaded by them for a discount on your next purchase. At least that was their plan back then. The biggest advantage that they seemed focused on was the reduced weight - especially for the military guys carrying large quantities.

I’m not much of a gun guru, I just like to shoot, so I don’t have much info about the technical side and I didn’t measure any groups.

Field Ethos did a review on them and had some information. I know a few of their guys have shot some for awhile.

I’ll have to checkout the reviews. It was interesting to see factory ammunition boasting single digit SD’s, which I’ve never of another company doing before.

I have a buddy that works there, they were trying to get the government contract, but sig ( I think that's who he said) got it instead. He says the 223 rounds work great, but they had a few issues with 308 I believe it was, failure to fire like 1 out of 60 to 100 rounds In a couple rifles. They are retooling to include other rounds and expanding production. They are manufactured in Texas by the way. I have not tried them as I don't shoot either of those cartridges. I notice bass pro ( cabelas) is selling them now.

Did he get to say much about their 6.8TVCM cartridge?

No, he didn’t mention the 6.8 TVCM at all. He did say they were loading and shooting 50 bmg. And he said they were working on the 6.5 creedmore.
