Love me some fried taters... or rice in a pinch. Otherwise, dutch oven roasted fries are my go-to to complement the bone-in ribeyes / burgers. . Another trick is to bake potatoes in foil in your campfire, and then use them the next day cut up and fried. Goes much quicker if they are pre-baked. Or you could bake/microwave them at home before-hand.

Depending on weather and days out I sometimes bring actual vegetables. I usually stick with stuff that travels well, and is what you might find on your plate at a reputable steakhouse: asparagus, creamed spinach, green beans, broccoli... all with a good dousing of butter, salt, and pepper.

I agree that leftover bakers make the greatest hashbrowns of all time....preferably cooked on a red hot flattop...
