TRT

Estrogen blockers are ok to take for a long period of time. Did your Dr tell you to take .5 a week or .5 on shot days? Also are you breaking your shots up to twice a week? Due to the half life of test, it is best to break it up into 2 shots a week. And you should take your estrogen blocker on those days. Personally I would take .5 both days.

When I was bodybuilding I was taking around 1200mg of test a week along with a couple other compounds. I would take 1mg of estrogen blocker on shot days, every other day.

Have you considered taking peptides? Reta is a phenomenal peptide for weight loss. Cjc/IP is amazing for natural GH release, which will help you sleep.

If your Dr doesn’t know this stuff, I would definitely find a wellness Dr that can help you. There are great ones that do telehealth out of Florida. As men, we want to live great and live as long as possible.
I injected 2x/week so I split the .5 mg pill in half and was taking half a pill the day of my shot. I screwed up when I stopped taking the E blocker on the higher dose of T. I'm getting blood work on Tuesday, hopefully it shed some light on what's going on.

I tried CJC/IP for a while, and I didn't notice any difference. Who knows it the source was legit.

I’ve done pellet injections and cream. Currently using the cream and I prefer that. Never done injections.

An argument I sometimes see against it is that if you’re on it and have to stop using it, your T levels will be worse than ever. I don’t know if that’s the case, but I’m about to turn 59, and I intend to hunt hard in the Northern Rockies for as long as I can, so I’ll keep doing it and worry about perpetual availability later.

I feel so much better mentally, I'm going to do everything I can to stay on it.

Low testosterone is natures way of telling you you are living wrong. So either get used to being weak or start taking steroids like these other guys. Taking steroids is the easy way out. Try not eating junk food, sugar, soda, other crap. Eat meat, eggs, other natural foods. Start exercising. Sleep more. Your testosterone should not be low at your age.

Or maybe it's just low.

I ride my bike 12 miles 4 days a week with some strenuous uphill climbs, hike or walk regularly and I pretty much just eat meat. So it’s more than that.

Maybe you’re just not meant to have normal testosterone. Or you are doing something wrong. It’s a good indicator when 80 year old men have higher testosterone than a man half his age. Good luck

This thread has been a great read, appreciate you guys sharing your experiences. Any of you guys have a DIM supplement that you'd recommend?

Not even close. Genetics have a ton to do with it as well. I know a bunch of young and old guys who are pt freaks from my time in corps, they are absolute units. Some have low t, some have extremely high t. All proven with blood work. Genetics matter more then people realize.

You can never out work a bad diet, and can never change your god given genetics naturally, way of life.

Train hard, eat clean, and supplement when it’s needed. Pretty simple actually, just many guys ignore their body and are afraid to supplement. You need the right provider and info.

Supplementing to get your hormone levels in order is not the same thing as steroids. As someone else stated, genetics have a lot to do with it. To just say as a blanket statement that if you're on TRT, You're not living right, is a false and disingenuous statement.

My doctor who's in his mid 40's and is very fit, he's on TRT; I'm on TRT, go to the gym or workout at home 4-5 times a week and have for twenty years, eat a pretty clean diet, I walk 8-10 miles a day for work several days a week; my cousin was a fire fighter, owned an MMA gym and was doing cage fights, eating a strict Paleo diet when he found his levels were low.
