By far the most accurate and forgiving broadhead I’ve ever shot. I mean just unbelievable. I haven’t shot iron wills which I’m sure will get mentioned. They are extremely stout and durable. But damn is the main blade dull. The replaceable bleeders are very sharp. But the main blade is very dull and I can’t get it sharp. I’ve tried several things and I can’t get them sharp. Heard that some people can get them there, but I can’t. The blade is very thick so it’s tough.

I read this as well. Quite a bit cheaper than iron wills. I like the looks of them, stout main blade and good sized bleeder that can be replaced. I don't know how good I would be sharpening an edge though but thinking it could be worth a try, especially if they fly as good as claimed.

I’ve tried several methods and haven’t been able to get it where I’m comfortable shooting them. If you get them and can get an edge let me know. Maybe I’m asking too much of them but I can never get them to shave hair.

I chose the ATAC over iron will 100 vented for consistent better accuracy and way less noise in flight. The blades can be a little tough to sharpen. I remove the Allen screw and back drag the blades on sandpaper finishing with 1500 grit then jewlers rouge on a strop. I haven’t quite gotten the main blade shaving sharp and with the thick blade and angle I’m not sure it will. I can cut a rubber band without much pressure and doesn’t slide along the blade which is one of my sharpness tests. Mine are all original Trophy Taker brand and not Arcus brand. I’m in need of more but don’t know what quality or edge is like now

The original A-TAC was great. When Dan Evans sold Trophy Taker they went downhill, cheaper components and I believe made in some oversees jungle factory now.
I switched to Ironwill heads in 2017 when they came out around the same time Dan sold TT.
The Ironwill are just as accurate and sharp but include a lifetime warranty.

I believe my local shop has some of the original Trophy takers in stock.. the 3 pack. I can check on it for you if you are wanting the old version.

I called Trophy Taker a couple years ago asking when they were going to be available again. The gentlemen said we have a pile of them here and I will sell you some. He went on to say no one in MT uses them. Not the greatest sales pitch ever, I passed because of the price.

I purchased some along with my new bow late last year. Harvested a wild boar in December that went down in a matter of seconds. There was no need to track the pig since it went down almost immediately, the short distance that it did go there was massive of blood. In a situation where tracking a blood trail would be necessary I believe these heads, along with a good shot, would do about as good a job as possible. The heads are super tough. They don't "feel" very sharp, but that made absolutely no difference in performance for me. If I knew how to post a video on here I have my hunt on video in which the performance of these broadheads could be verified.

Best flying broadhead I've ever shot.Especially at distance. The main blade is TOUGH to sharpen.I am fortunate,a friend can do it.30 minutes per head though.

I found some 125 Deep Six A-TAC heads I want to try this year. Would like to find some 100s in the DS if there is any out there. Trophy Taker made some deep six A-Tacs that glued straight into the shaft like a target point, no insert. I called them but they didn't have any in stock and aren't making them now, glue those in with a footer on Easton A/C 390s or 450s would be nice.

I’ve shot them a lot. I have a few different vids testing them for flight and durability on my YouTube channel: Lusk Archery Adventures. They’re one of the best. I’ve taken a few animals with them as well. Great penetration and nice wound channel.

BUT those were the heads before TT sold out. I can’t comment on the new ones very much. I have tested them a bit and they seemed good, but were not as sharp out of the box, and I heard they’re not as big of a cut as the old 125s.

Where do they come with an 1 1/8" cut on these things? Main blade is 3/4" wide, bleeder is 1 1/16". Am I missing something?

I agree with all of this. I was able to get the main blade fairly sharp by removing the bleeder and using a kitchen knife sharpener.
