Some people believe they are above the law. Until there is real punishment for game violations such as this then people will continue to do these things.

There is several pages (might be close to 100 now) on the local WA forum. Several different threads. This isn't the first governor's tag or raffle tag the shooter has had. He turned down a plea deal. He has this years governor auction tag too.

He paid all that money to walk up to a barbwire fence, take a knee and take a 50yd shot at an animal that was hand fed by 13yr olds? Ridiculous...

If the story is true then throw the book at him...

Either way that article was a pathetic piece of "journalism"..

I have a hard time putting his name under the heading of a hunter!!!More like just a killer. He seems to have given lots of money to RMEF and other places that benefit wildlife but he seems to surely be missing out on what hunting is really all about.

Front page of Seattle times today. This is going to turn into a yard sale quickly in the PNW. Story leaves out rumors about WDFW involvement prior to the poaching incident (my opinion). He has certainly provided the state with a TON of money over the past decade.

At least he had walked up to edge of fence to shoot it and didn't shoot it out window of truck or across the hood of truck. Sarcasm noted. Must be more money in Cedar fencing than running a drug cartel. Money falling out of his pockets left and right.

Have you priced cedar fence lately? He can probably afford a better lawyer than OJ and is politically connected. Yep above the law
