Im planning a backcountry hunt in the this area this fall. This will be my first 7+ day hunt out of a backpack. For those who have hunted in this area how is the water situation? Plentiful/hard to come by? I’m trying to figure out how much water storage I’ll need to bring. TIA!

FYI, that is a popular area for hard core Vegetarians and anti hunters to backpack.

I doubt you will have problems but one pack in trip we did parking at a popular TH, anti's trashed my buddies truck so bad he had to get it repainted.
That makes me sick and all the granolas out there are a big reason I avoid the alps. Good reason not to have any stickers on your truck too. I’ve joked about getting a mom mobile crossover to go incognito both the hide from the hippies and other hunters.

Checked out some of that country the year before last and there seemed to be plenty of water. Flipped a coin and hunted the Marbles. Chose wrong, but plan to be back out there next year. That 43 hour drive is not for the faint of heart.
