Trijicon Mil-Dot Question

I recently bought a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9 with the Mil-Dot reticle (TR20-2G). Looking through the scope it appears the bottom crossair is thicker than the other 3 almost covering the mil-dots. I’ve looked through it pointed towards the sky, adjusted the eye piece, and tried different magnifications. I can clean it up but it never quite looks as clear and thin as the other crossair lines. I’m not sure if it’s the angle I’m looking through it or what. I have a much cheaper Hawke mil-dot scope on an air rifle and that reticle is perfectly clear. Is this an issue or is this how they are? I think it’s useable as is but I’m wondering if I should contact them.

I picked up one of these a couple months ago and noticed the same thing. Kinda bothers me to, but so far it hasn’t been and issue when shooting with them like that

It absolutely is. The first one I got, it was so bad that you could barely tell there were dots. I sent it in to Trijicon after talking to them on the phone, they returned it a couple of weeks later saying that everything was up to spec. I sold that one on eBay, with very good photos through the scope to show the reticle. The last couple I bought were much better, but the bottom stadia is still thicker than the other three. It's the only mil-dot scope out of several brands that I've seen that on.

If I’m not mistaken the bottom vertical post houses or feeds the fiber optic similar to the chevron reticle option. I’ve owned four of them and it’s barely noticeable, the one mil dots are visible but it is thicker if looking critically. If it obscuring the dots I’d call CS

How long ago did you sell it on eBay, I bought one from there and the username started with ky to, mighta been yours lol

Very good chance it was. Lol. I've sold a couple in the last year or two. I REALLY want to love that scope, but the short eye relief on the high end always kills it for me. I can live with the lower stadia being funky as long as the dots are visible.

Kyelkhunter? Iv been really happy with it so far, I’d would buy another in a heartbeat

Yup that was me. They're really nice scopes. Both that one and the Huron. If they'd put a consistent 4" of eye relief in them, they would be spectacular scopes.
