Hello, I'm planning to go with a Trijicon Huron 2.5-10x40mm with UM rings on my Tikka 6.5cm. The majority of my shooting will be under 300y and all hunting well under that. I hunt dense timber and most shots are very close. Has anyone had issues with this scope in similar conditions? Open to other suggestions, my budget is 500-1000.

If I were you, I would go with the 3-9 with the duplex or the #4 for better reticle visibility in the woods and in low light. I like the duplex better, I think the #4 is too wide. You don't need a reticle with holdover marks for what you're doing.

Excellent choice in my opinion. Put one on my .444 Marlin and like it. Better low and high ends than the 3-9 so I don't know what advantage the 3-9 has.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like I could tinker a bit more but its basically fine for what I'm doing. I'll use the rest of the budget on ammo then.
