Looking at picking up a 3-9x40 Credo for a LH t3x. I've heard that the throw lever can cause clearance issues for some bolts. Anyone running this setup? Will it be ok considering the 70° bolt throw or should I look at something else for it?

Do they not have 2 positions to put the throw lever? My credo 2.5-15x42 does and no bolt clearance issues with it. I do have some issues with the spent brass hitting the ao dial though and the brass falls back into the chamber. I might need higher rings.

3-9 credos have a fixed lever here's some pictures of my daughters lefty tikka with a 3-9 on it the lever is a little close on 3x but it hasn't been an issue, if you leave it on 4x there's tons of clearance IMG_20260315_124027668.jpgIMG_20260315_123950100_HDR.jpg

It’s a bigger issue on a 90* bolt. My wifes kimber bolt handle +\- touched the throw lever and was a legit problem. For sure there is a lot more clearance on a tikka. If you think it’ll be a problem the Huron does not have the built-in throw lever.

This post has an image of it on a 90* bolt. The lever is symmetrical left to right, ie the 9:00/3x position will be the same for a lefty as the 3:00/9x position will for a righty.

A word of caution on these scopes for anyone considering buying one. The power ring is deceptively large. The throw knob is fixed and larger than it needs to be. If your rifle has a 90 degree bolt throw and a straight bolt handle, think Christensen Mesa here, you are going to have clearance issues, especially if you like to keep the scope close to the bore line.

Good to know. Was considering the Huron but I'll mostly be hunting coastal blacktails and bears so illuminated reticle would be nice. Accupoint was my other option for that reason but it's around $200cad more.
