I’ve been looking at getting one of these. I know a lot of you guys use them and was curious if one is better than the other or if they are worth the money at all.

I think I would primarily use it for hunting but definitely for target shooting as well. I've mainly seen them used in the NRL matches and they look like a cool deal.

yea since i saw your post i thought about how it could help me teach my boy by him seeing what i'm doing in the scope. Now i'm really interested so hoping someone gets on here with hands on experience to let us know haha.

Triggercam 2.1 is pretty neat. I've only used mine a few times so far, but its been pretty neat. I really liked using it with my 7y.o. boy. He thought it was really cool to watch his video at home on the TV. It also allowed me to fix his on target, trigger pull. Easy to see how he was not settling in, more just timing the wobble.

I’ve had both but still have and regularly use the Scopemate S28-TSC. It’s a little bulkier than the Triggercam but I like it better for recording matches and my practice sessions.

Much easier to tell when it recording and the sound quality is so much better than the Triggercam. I talk a lot to myself at practice when videoing and can’t stand how muffled the Triggercam sounded.

I got the Scopemate S28 last year. I tried the S28 and it just didn't focus well. It constantly lost focus if you changed magnification. Quality was simply poor.
I later the updated Scopemate with touchscreen. It’s very nice! It’s really handy when shooting with my 12 year old because I can coach him while viewing what he is aiming at in real time.

I've also used the TC a few times and the app sucks. If you're only using it on one rifle I've found it's best for me to use the app to adjust focus before doing anything, then just use the buttons on the side to start/stop recording.

Just the info I was looking for. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Honestly sounds like there is a lot of room for improvement in these types of cams. For now, I’m just looking for something to record my rock chuck elimination excursions. I think I will try the Scopemate with the screen.
