Trigger Techs for Tikka - Are they drop safe?

One of the many reasons I run almost exclusively Tikkas is that they are known to be drop safe, especially in comparison to Rem 700 triggers. Is this still the case if the factory trigger is swapped out for a Trigger Tech?

1) lawsuits
2) their reputation which means their entire business shuts down.

What makes you want to swap out the Tikka trigger?

On 1 of my 3 Tikka's the trigger would not adjust below 3.5 lb, the others are set at 2 lbs. Just got a Trigger Tech and it is really nice. Set at 2 lbs but feels much lighter. The brake is different, to me a bit smoother but still crisp. To me it was a nice upgrade. It's on my 6.5 PRC.

I have only shot two other rifles besides Tikkas to be honest. I have adjusted down to close to minimum on the factory trigger (2 lbs) which is OK but most comp guys seem to favor lighter pull and specifically Trigger Tech Diamond. Never shot a flat shoe either so I'm super curious. Do you think it is worth it? Which model did you get? Special or Diamond?

I got the special with the curved trigger. It is wider than the stock which I like and has grooves. It will go down to less than 1 lb, but that is way to light for me!!!! I had it set at about 1.5 lb but you better have good trigger control or you will get a surprise shot! Even at 2 lbs to me it pulls lighter/smoother than the Tikka trigger set at 2 lbs.

So far I really like it. Is it significantly different than the stock trigger, up for debate. You have to shoot different triggers to really feel the difference. But it is better than the stock trigger that was on the gun.

Depending on how i like it the more I shoot it, I might switch all 3 of my Tikka's. I like to have the same trigger feel on all my guns, for me it makes for a more consistent shot.

I have a drawer full of rifle parts because of trying different things! Wonder how much $ I have in that drawer...lol.

I also tried a different lighter spring. Per Forms comments he said they fail easier. I switched back to the stock spring. The aftermarket was just too light and didn't really give me the adjustment I wanted!
