Trigger cam 2.1?

Following, hopefully someone else can chime in. I have been eyeing one of these for use with nrl22 but they are quite pricey. I have seen them come up for sale used occasionally though.

I ended up going with an agm spectrum digital day / night scope. It records, ranges, gives holdover, etc. Toss a ir light on it, and it sees in the dark too. Here im trying the calculator out on a gong at 200 yds with a 22lr sub sonic, 57" of holdover.

Wow that’s a pretty sweet setup. The quality is great too. I’d imagine it will do great at night I’ve hear good things about Agm products. The ranging feature is neat

I have the 2.1 and use it for my 22-250, 6 creed, and 6.5 creed. Mainly use it on a 4x32 and 2.5x20 NX8. For those two scopes, the parallax is a little tricky and you can definitely get blurry footage if you’re not dialing it in correctly.

The first one had the focus knob broke and it would not stay in focus after minimal recoil. The battery is complete garbage in anything below 10 degrees. I use an external power source now. I’ve also had it fog up inside of the lense.

It can get some cool footage but I would t expect it to be really clear. Use it mostly for coyote hunting so it’s kind of hard to have it set for close range and long distance shots.

For those that use these quite a bit, do you adjust your scope forward and run it all the time or just deal with the decrease in eye relief when using it? I'd like to have one to play around with but the eye relief has always concerned me since I would be switching it around from rifle to rifle.

There is nothing like than as far as use and video when they work. However, they have some pretty spotty QC/quality consistency. Have seen about 1 out of 3 or 4 have to go back with very little use. The first I had got the purple screen of death within 20 shots. The second has worked ok generally- though has locked up and has to be forced reset a couple of times- but now has a high pitched whine in the video.

I’ll add this about QC, I reached out to them and it was a very slow going process for them to reply back. They asked a ton of questions about conditions and what gun I was shooting. Then made me take videos and pictures. After about 3 weeks they agreed to replace it. Haven’t got to try the new one yet.
