Tricer RP bipod deal at Scheel

For those that may not know, there is also a thread somewhere on rokslide that shows how to pin the ball head so it performs better. Me and my buddies that ordered them plan to do this.

The Tricer RP seems great in every regard besides the fact that it pans 360° (and the owner seems hard to like)

So I disassembled the bipod, determined the center of the spherical ball and socket joint, then crossdrilled and bolted the joint. The bolt prevents panning, but allows the bipod to cant still.



Here are the instructions:

1. Measure 21.35mm from the bottom of the center cylinder and make a mark. This is critical as this is the location of the center of the ball and socket. If you do not drill it centered, the bipod will not cant.

Well dang, I kept going back to this thread. Decided I'd pick up a bipod and either give it to my friend or brother. Scheel's was awesome and price matched it right away.

I spend too much money at that store, but it's for good reason - most places would tell you to pound sand!

I don't understand why someone would do this. I took my friend's Tricer Bipod on an elk hunt, and it was a fantastic tool. I loved it.

Why destroy some of the functionality?

Lot of people don't like pan on a bipod.

These bipods in Reno are being blown out because the gen 2 bipod is coming out soon

The only change with the gen 2 is that it allows you to lock out panning

Glad mr Tricer listened. Even if someone liked panning, 360° of panning is just a lazy design

No that’s not why only one of their stores is blowing them out.
The reason is someone at Reno fat fingered their order and now they have too many on hand. I was told this by Scheels rep.

this a guess or you have a source? I have a hard time believing one store is discounting all the discontinued stock bc a new gen is coming out. usually map pricing drops across all retailers when something is discontinued.
