I really appreciate the information. I'm headed over there to check it out. Thank you.Cascade mountain tech aluminum are $22 on Amazon or $44 for carbon
I second that. I got a pair of them after reading about it on here. They are stellar for the price. Better than some that you’d pay $100 for a pair.Cascade mountain tech aluminum are $22 on Amazon or $44 for carbon
That’s a personal decision based on the factors of price, weight, and strength. Generally aluminum is cheaper, heavier, but also tougher. For me that’s a win. I mainly day hunt and carry heavy loads anyway. For a thru hiker, most would opt to pay more and sacrifice a little bit of durability for that extra 3oz weight savings. That’s why some go as far as cutting off excess straps and patches and all.... oz = lbs. lbs = pain.Is carbon fiber or 3k carbon fiber worth the price over aluminum? For cascade mountain, looks like 3 oz weight difference per pole. Is 3 oz worth it?
