When I was in my local Costco on Friday, they had sets of carbon fiber trekking poles for $25. They were not a brand I recognized, but seems like a great buy if you're in the market.

I bought a set of them and so far seem alright. The only complaint I have is the locking system seems a little cheap. Nothing a little duct tape can't fix in a bind to get out.

I ran a $20 pair last year. First year using poles so I wanted to try them out before I spulrged for nice ones... The poles worked pretty good. The grips and strap left much to be desired. So did the twist and lock system.... I upgraded this year to Leki poles and couldnt be happier. The Cork grips with wide straps work awesome and the clamps style lock was a quick to setup and take down. Glad I ran the cheapies for a year to test them out. But it was mandatory I wore gloves on long hikes...

I bought these poles, I am going to try them out this weekend! They seem pretty decent for the $
