trekking poles setup?

Your forearms should be parallel to the ground. But I like to run mine just a hair shorter.

When you grip them, your forearm should be parallel to the ground. When going uphill, they should be slightly shorter, downhill should be slightly longer.

For your grip, your hand should come up through the strap, then rotate and grab the handle with the strap now on the top of your wrist and in the web between your thumb and index finger.

Adjust the strap so your hand falls into a natural grip on the handle.
