I had no intention to criticize your setup Swede. I just frequently hunt with a recurve or 60# compound and I'm concerned I don't have the horsepower to drive thru an elk from above even with heavy arrows. Whitetails? You betcha! I'll pile drive that arrow into the boiler room but I want no part of an elk shoulder blade with my bow/arrow setup.

Thanks LostArra. I did not consider your post to be critical and I have no problem with sincere questions or disagreement. That is something that can actually help less experienced hunters develop their decision making. I just have had a different experience and a different perspective. Your point is valid.

I have a friend that shots a cow every year from a tree stand. He has it dialed in
