Tree Stand Elk

If I had those bulls coming in, I’d make some patience!
Believe me I’ve tried!

That picture of the big bull in 2018 was the next day after I sat for several days prior and left. A friend picked up those antlers and he was 375”. I have two sets of sheds off of the 2nd bull down and actually passed him 2 years prior. His sheds go 305” and 340”.

Way more bulls hitting it than pictured, probably 30 over 300” over the years. Three I know that were killed and went 330-340” all by rifle hunters.

Winds not stable? If not, I’d put up a pop up blind or hell dig a pit with a place like that.

I’m not stable, lol. I’ve had plenty of animals come in just not a big bull. I’ve probably sat 5 total days in the last 7 years.

An elk will bugle and I’m down chasing them.

I’m the same way… haha I own a saddle and a stand that have never been used since I don’t have the patience…

All about location, location, and don't forget location. I know a guy that has killed 13 bulls out of the same tree over a water hole on public land in Colorado. The spot is in an area that he accesses pretty easily by way of private. Hunts a couple evening a week during the archery season. If the winds aren't right he stays home.
