There are many different brands and styles. The most popular currently are the Tethrd Phantom, however you will also see many guys branch off and pick up another companies saddle after trying the Phantom. I'm 6'1 200 lbs with a 36" waist and found the Phantom to be lacking for longer sits. I've done all day sits in it, however this year I'm using an Overwatch Transformer. It's a two panel system with stays to allow it to function as a single panel if desired.

I've never hunted from a tree stand and have only ever used a saddle. I've found them to be comfortable and allows me to choose a different spot every sit. I've got no issues hiking back in with the system as the weight is minimal and adding in climbing while using one stick it's a fast and light setup that works for me. A lot of great resources can be found over on saddlehunter.com as well.

I want to make a comment about a gorilla in a tree....

Probably going to have trouble finding something for your height, I'd look for a 2 panel so you can adjust it instead of being stuck with something built around someone 9 inches shorter.

I haven't had much to do with saddles in a decade or so, can't really recommend any of the modern stuff. I know the Anderson years ago was pretty versatile, I think Tree Hopper makes it now. That might be something try, pretty bare bones, but it will fit your waist, and being 2 panels it shouldn't matter if yours sit 7" apart where everyone else might have them at 5".

Thank you very much for all the info that is what I'm really wanting to do is to be able to have a lightweight setup to go anywhere and I will definitely look into the other site as well

Lone wolf .5 and some sticks. You would be around 8-10 lbs total.

Which one do you recommend to use
My favorite is the Cruzr XC. I tried the phantom and one other brand. They are just too small it seems. I am 5-10 and 190. So any bigger than me, no way it would work out IMO. Cruzr gives a mil or leo discount too, if that applies.

Cruzr XC. Your waist size would fall in the size 2 range, but you might be better off with a size 3.
