Travel/rental from Anchorage to hunt location

Heading up to Anchorage in September. Flying in and then driving to Talkeetna. Looked at booking a rental…$3000+!!!

Anyone have any different ideas as far as getting from airport to hunt location? There has to be some sort of other option out there or someone knows someone who would want to rent a vehicle, trade for meat or something…any thoughts?
