FHA fur auction is over for June.
Anyone send furs up to Canada?
We did ok I think. Bobcats paid $1300+ on 3.
I know we made more than a buyer would have offered, top cat went for $600+ for us.

First year back trapping after 25 years and I only trapped for about a month. Sent everything to a transfer and will keep almost everything, debating on selling a few, but I'll figure that out when I get everything back.

Those are some great prices on cats!

I'm pretty new to trapping. 90% of the trapping I do is to curb nuisance animals locally. Here's a couple small Beaver that were dropping trees around houses. Unfortunately our pelts aren't too good down here in TX.

Have inadvertently caught a couple of otter down here as well.

I was very pleased with the winter FHA sale, I had fisher and beaver on that and glad I did. Opted to sell local with all of my spring beaver and did much better than I would have if I had them on the June FHA sale. Always a guessing game and this year I played it right...

Just saw a group of 21 turkeys on my buddies place where I've been nest predator trapping hard for 4 years. 3 mature toms, 5 Jakes and 13 hens. 4 to 6 years ago you were lucky to hear one gobble.

Killed one gobbler in 2022 and 2 in 2023. I have taken nearly 150 nest predators off his 94 acres in the last 4 years. Trapping may not be the total answer for the rebound in bird numbers, but it's sure a big part of it.
When I lived back in MO, a buddy of mine and I trapped or shot every coon and grinner on my property that we could and had good turkey hunting. Then I moved away and he stopped trapping and I have barely seen a turkey in 20 years.

I’m pretty new to trapping myself. We are trying to get our turkey population numbers up. Planning on doing some land improvements to include year round food plots for the turkey and deer.
