Looking for a transom mount trolling motor for my 14' Mirrocraft aluminum boat. Can't go bow mount for a few reasons and transom mount seem to be slim pickings. I have a 92AH dual cycle battery. Use would be for kokanee, trout and laker trolling so long stints. Don't like running my main motor at idle for long periods of time because it gives off a ton of vibration, I can't go slower than 1.3, and it's loud-ish.

The Minn Kota Endura Max seems like the obvious choice with the digital maximizer technology, but they seem to have bad reviews and a lot of failures. Any suggestions? Or is it not as poorly built as the reviews suggest?

I am on my second Minn Kota 55 lbs thrust. Which exact model I'm not sure at the time. It has done everything I've ever asked it to without a problem. The only reason I'm on number 2 is someone stole the first one.

I would get whichever one has the closest for service/parts/replacement.

For a transom mount option, tough to beat Minn Kota though.

Definitely Minn Kota, may want to avoid some of the models with all the features, more shit to go wrong.
Get the max thrust for your voltage!

Motorguide are ok but their service is pathetic!
