I just started training for my first diy western hunt this fall. Right now I'm just using a stationary bike and some jogging on another machine(forget what it's called). Any tips/ideas on what I need to be doing doing. I'm wanting to start out somewhat slow since I have 9ish months and I haven't exercised in years so it's al new to me and my body. The machines at my gym can be set to an incline so I plan on making my way to the highest setting on that and then sometime in the fall start hiking around a local conservation area with my pack on. But other than that I'm new to what all I need to be doing to get my endurance/strength up. Thanks

Sounds like a good start out plan. Work on your cardio and your heart will thank you. Jogging, biking will all get your legs in great shape. Don't worry about getting strong yet. Strength should be the last thing you try to attain. Endurance, Stamina are much more of a priority for mountain hunting.
