I decided to try some trailmix because I see so many people rant and rave about it. After 1wk I can't get them to eat it out of a bucket let alone my barrel.

Purina Pro Plan...you want those bears fed with real nutrition for good growth and health. Forget the Walmart brand.
I've found they like ole Roy the most, I do side by sides in buckets and watch what they eat first.

That's really interesting. We used mostly granola along with candy and all sorts of toppings. Probably cheaper than dog feed where I got it. If we could have gotten trail mix I would have done it.

Do you have just one bear? They're all individuals I guess. I had one that would leave purple frosting. Can't say I blame him.

I had a decent mix of grizzly and black bear. The ravens ended up clearing out the trailmix for me. Oddly my friends pigs wouldn't eat it either so it might have been tainted. Got these 2 guys 45min apart 2 days ago.

Part of it might depend if you live in an area where hard mast is natural fall food for the bear vs soft mast. Some people claim trail mix is the greatest, many of which are in the Midwest.
