We have to have something on our page. Everyone else seems to have them. If you had success this season get some pictures up so we can all see how it's been going.

I guess I’ll start….

Archery season here in Montana. Shot the doe at 16 yards quartering away. Evening hunt and shot was solid. Heard the crash, had good blood but timber was so thick I felt like I was walking in circles so I backed out until sunrise. I knew she was down and weather was cool so i wasn’t worried about meat loss. Found her the next morning but had lost some meat from animal damage. After I finished boning her out I brought the carcass about 100 yards into a ravine and noticed fresh bear shit. That must have been what ate the hind leg. I thought well.. I have tonight free I’ll sit in here and see if it comes back. At that point I head a stick break behind me. I had two bears closing fast and my bow was at my pack. I sprinted back and nocked an arrow. This sow made two bluff charges and got to 6 yards of me and I dropped the string. She made it 20 yards before tipping over.

Equipment used - rustic archer yeti longbow 66” 49# at 27” Sitka spruce shaft , 145 grain ACE standard

Blood trails were fantastic on both even though the bear didn’t go far. The doe ran 100 yards before tipping over. Complete pass through on her

For my second year in a row I was still too inconsistent with a traditional bow and fell back on a compound. Then I failed to even get it done with a compound. 🥺 next year is my year! I'm getting my first traditional kill, I'm calling it right now.

I was in the same boat, until I sold my compound so I had nothing to fall back on. That same year I got my first kill.

Just got him this morning. First buck with my longbow. 30 yards quartering away, centered a rib which I went right thru but deflected up and took out the top of the lung and lodged in the spine. Deer fell dead without taking a step. 60 lb Stalker Coyote

I think next year I will be ready. It's not so much that I was worried about getting skunked, so I went to the more efficient weapon. It was more am ethics thing. I had such bad release and alignment issues I couldn't even get good arrow flight. Im getting that straightened out though.

My best Mulie. They have been my nemesis. I've only killed forkies until now. Blasted coyotes found him before I did. He ran into a valley with the other two bucks. When I went to look for him a hour and a half later I saw his buddies looking into a thicket. I backed out and decided to wait till morning. I did hang up a hoodie on a fencepost, hoping to keep the coyotes away. I think the wind currents were going down the dry creek bed away from where he was.

Called this Bull in to 20' my first afternoon out. Double lung at 15yds. He went about 45yds and fell in sight. My tenth Moose all trad.

Shot with my old Bear mag "B" riser, 40# at my draw using my teeth. 190gr Cutthroat broadhead and old Patriot Carbons. Same as the mulie but I used a VPA 200 gr 3 blade on him.

Should be back right handed shooting normal by spring. Surgery to my right shoulder and rehab going very well. Thanks for looking

Got my first trad kill last night. Made a great 15 yard shot and she only made it 40 yards.
