Looks like Tract is coming out with rangefinding binos. Anyone have any thoughts on these/handled one?

I’ll be watching to see how they do once they get out into the wild. The price point looks pretty good (sub $2k) for a ballistics option. If the glass has the same optical quality as their binos, they could be pretty solid.

I’m not sure if many other RF binos have the ability to manual enter a wind speed, but that option seems pretty useful to have.

You will love them

How good is the laser, especially in inclement atmospheric conditions. Nothing else matters if you fight the laser getting an accurate range.

In a standard rangefinder Maven RF.1 is about as good as it gets. Very long distance returns freehand, accurate beam location, and reads through anything if you can see what you are ranging.

Excellent
1800 on a deer 4200 on a rock

And what are odds these things are like all the new name scopes all coming from low, or same place with same engines? As I’m obsessed with my Sig kilo6x 8x32 as it’s a ranging powerhouse and incredible in weather and my gp primary. If that’s the case and similar engine then I’m listening.

Review just came in with the new TRACT Rangefinder running Eagle ball

Just received my EB binos. I tested the Eagle Ballistics app all winter against Applied Ballistics in my Kestrel 5700AB. Short version is I came to trust EB over AB. I got consistently more accurate solutions, especially as ranges got longer, with EB. As for the binos themselves I compared them side by side in tripods to my Zeiss Victory FL’s, also 10x42. I found the Tract’s to be a little brighter and sharper than my Zeiss. I’ve been waiting for RF binos that have top tier glass and can reliably range to at least 2000 yards in less than ideal conditions. I was ranging rocks yesterday in the rain at over 1800 yards. After a short learning experience I find the app in the binos just as intuitive and straightforward as the phone app. I’m an avid long range shooter and hunter, not employed, sponsored or otherwise compensated by Toric or Eagleman Ballistics.

Yeah I saw that review. Helpful.

How is the blue/green tint in the glass? That was one thing I didn’t like about the Sig 6k.
