Does anyone know how to disable or shut off the VSC, LSD, and TRAC systems on a 2016 Tundra permanently?

So tired of it disabling the engine every single time a wheel slips on a pebble or such. I'm going to get hit one of these days because the engine won't let me GO!

The book is about as confusing as it could get. You shut one off, and the others are all on. SMH I want to shut them all off.

Thanks.

I’ve not noticed any issue that would have me get hit due to the engine not letting me go in my 19. If you hammer it on gravel, ya it kicks in to stop the spinning, but I wasn’t going anywhere fast while spinning. Maybe I'm not following what you are saying.

I might check on tundras.com. Search around or join up and ask. Fairly helpful group of Tundra enthusiasts. Rok like if you will.

Nothing permanent but breaks it down Barney style. From the tundras forum.
Thanks for that......but would I have to do this every single time I start the vehicle? I'm ready to pull fuses if I have to. Today I drove about 2 miles and the "slip indicator" light came on and stayed on. The book says that means the brakes are overheated. Overheated??? I drove two miles and it's cold out, the brakes aren't overheated.

Yeah, every startup. Looks like there was guy over the by the name of mikebeach who made a harness that permanently turned them all off. I didn’t see any activity more recent than ‘01 related to it.

All it takes is a single pebble on pavement, a touch of ice, or even uneven pavement while trying to turn and the slip indicator starts flashing, disables the engine, and the truck won't "GO" like it should.....while traffic is coming at me while they don't expect me to pull out and then just sit there.......when I should be accelerating to the speed of traffic. It happens every day.

And the problem is.......just shutting off the TRAC system (which would allow full engine use) turns on the "Auto LSD" which the book says to "not run it full time while just driving". So I guess I have to turn it ALL off every single time I drive. SMH Man I love my old trucks.

I agree that that option is a piece of shit. I owned an 05 tundra up until 2023 and got a 2016. Any loose gravel or snow and slip indicator kicks in.

Sounds as if this is triggering "limp mode"

There's a guy on the Tundras forum that makes a kit that does it automatically, can't remember the price

I’ve never had it happen from one pebble or an uneven turn. If it starts happening I am blaming you. I wonder if they fixed the glitch by 19? I’d check with a dealer for a TSB or patch, if you have not already.

I have a 17’ and it barely ever kicks on. Basically if you are on dirt or snow/ice and you hammer it, then it comes on. I also just turn it off with one push if I’m on those surfaces. But I agree, it’s not an improvement and is annoying.

OP… is your truck lifted and/or leveled? I ask because there is a pitch and yaw sensor in the truck. People who level their tundras dead level report having much worse experience with the traction control kicking on a lot. You want to leave at least .75”-1” rake in tundras to keep that sensor happy.

I didn’t know this. I’ve got an 11 Tundra. It’s got a little rake to it still. Traction control seems to kick in a little too eagerly on curvy roads.

Yeah it’s a known issue. I believe some guys have found a way to shim the sensor to put it back into normal spec. I just became aware of it when I was researching the small lift I put on my truck and made sure to leave a good amount of rake. Mine has never come on when going around a corner, but I believe that’s what they do when the sensor isn’t happy.
