Torqueless grip ?

So I have a 2014 elite e35 with the narrow rounded grip and side plates. I've learned to notice when shooting fixed bh the bow can be sensitive (very sensitive) to my hand placement/hand torque which shows in the arrow flight. The bows tuned. I've bh tuned arrows/spined tuned where I got them flying like darts with good form and hand placement on the grip. And then notice the same arrow flies horrible (like 6" off usually high rt at 40 yards) when my hand is a tad high on the grip where my thumb and pointer finger knuckle are in full contact with the riser where it flares out from the grip. When shooting fp and doing this I don't see any diff shooting bh vs fp. So I'm betting this is due to more contact with the riser/grip especially by the thumb and pointer finger knuckle causing bad torque. So my million dollar question is would the "torqueless grip" help cure this issue when shooting fixed bh? I read a lot of guys say the TG helps with consistent hand/grip placement but will it help with correct grip placement when shooting bh? I'd like to get some feedback from you guys before I pull the trigger on one. Thanks

Try removing the side plates. That seems to work great for me on the Elites I have. I then put a thin wrap of hockey tape around it.

Torqueless grips are awesome. I swapped the grip on an '06 BT Allegiance and it improved my shooting by increasing the consistency of my grip. Just ordered another one for the same bow you have. I like the thin grip on the E35 but the angled flats on either side of the center line cause some weird movement in my follow through. I wish their V-grip was offered across the line but I didn't want a black riser. I have a lot of faith in Torqueless so I ordered one engraved but if you get one and don't like it, I'll bet you could sell it for very near what you paid. Fortunately, the Elite side plates are affixed with a screw unlike my old Bowtech which took a lot of work to get the factory grip off.

Well isn't that just dandy...

I'm sure that was expected, with as popular as that option is. Bought mine in Jan; I'll just live with it I guess.

They offer the V grip on camo options now. Just an FYI

Ya I'm tempted to get a new one but me and ol Karen have history together lol... I ordered a TG and will try it. I'll reply back with feedback if anyone's interested.

Try contacting BackcountryMT on here. I know he shoots an elite and he's part of a great pro shop. He'd be able to point you in a good direction

Torqueless may be good, but I bet no grip is better. Ditch the sideplates.

Ill ll try that before I try the torqueless... But I don't see how that would help as the hand to riser/grip contact is mostly if not all against the back of the grip. For me the thin curved grip it has just doesn't fit my hand well and there isn't a consistent grip location every time. The torqueless is flatter and a tad wider so we'll see if it fits my big mits better.

I switched to a torqueless grip on my E35 and shot better with it compared to the stock grip. Taking the side plates off the stock grip didnt do much for me because the back of the grip against my hand still felt the same. I liked the squared off feeling of the torqueless grip myself.

Totally agree with this and is exactly why I am a proponent of Torqueless. Removing side plates will help reduce the overall girth of the grip but it doesn't change the face of it or how your palm rests on it. It's the flat surface of the Torqueless that prevents the bow from wanting to pivot to the side. I even thought about fashioning a piece of kydex that could fit underneath the side plates yet provide a flat surface for my hand. In the end though, it's not worth the time. The Torqueless has been successful for be before and I love the wood grain. Makes me want to pick it up, as if I needed another reason...

Not to sidetrack the thread but has anyone used a Shrewd grip. I also have an elite (synergy) and have heard a few good things about Shrewd, wondering how it compares to tourqueless.

Got my torqueless and like it very much so far. Grip is consistent every time and my hand doesn't shift/fight the grip like it was with the stock grip/riser. I've also seen my misses left and rt have shrunk a lot, which I'm certain is due to fighting torque before. Also with no torque I'm getting better fixed bh flight.

My Impulse 31 seems far more sensitive than my Heli-M with the focus grip. I may have to try a torqueless.
