Toilet wax ring to seal boots

I wouldn't be afraid. I have some old cans of snow seal that are exactly the same texture as the wax ring. Apply, warm the boots and it should work well.

If you were in a rural community and didn't have a store to choose from, would you choose nothing or the wax? Are there better products, sure.... but strait wax will work pretty well. They will be shiney as hell though.

Wax rings are mostly beeswax, so I'm sure it would work.

However, I think you'd be much better suited using bear oil/fat, or sno seal.

I first heard about this from Barry Wensel. He's an old school whitetail guru who lived and hunted for decades in MT. Actually, he is THE whitetail guru and he's no showboater either.

He stated that the toilet wax rings were made of purer wax than most boot waxes. I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
