Wow, that must have been tough saying goodbye.

Well I've now cried in front a group on strangers more than once in the last 3 days... it's been rough.

Nope, long story short. Our friends had a foster child from birth to 16 months. The husband's job took them to Nebraska. They asked us to foster for 3-6 months till she was cleared to follow them out of state... We're finally bringing her to her forever home in Nebraska, 15 months later.

Huge kudos to you and your wife for stepping up and providing a temporary home for this girl. My wife and I have never fostered any kids, but we are friends with multiple couples that do it regularly. The highs and lows that go with fostering are beyond gigantic, but the service that it provides for these kids is priceless. The world needs more people like you and your friends for sure, filling the gap and giving a child a chance at a new life.

I bet. You're an angel for having done what you did, and certainly altered the trajectory of that kid's life forever.

I was just a couple weeks into a new job when I went to my boss, obviously upset, explaining I wasn't coming to work tomorrow because I had to put my dog down. They were understanding of course but it still felt weird. We all got our own stuff going on sometimes.

I learned you don't have to refrigerate squeeze mayonnaise after opening.

Actually, it's the same recipe as jar. If you don't contaminate the jar with a dirty knife, you don't have to refrigerate it either.

I was totally thinking about squeeze mayo the other day and wondering about refrigeration.

This is a game I don't want to play and lose on tho... egg based and no refrigeration scares me...
