Tire size question

A couple of my vehicles have similar sized tires. One is 255/65/17 and the other is 245/65/17. I am getting to the point I will need to replace the 255/65/17 tires. I like the 245/65/17 tires on the one vehicle and can’t find it in the 255/65/17 size. So I am thinking of replacing the 255 with a 245 tire? The vehicle is a 2021 GMC Acadia AT4. Good, bad, ugly?? Thanks!

They both seem pretty small

They are small tires, with very little difference in size. Just not sure if it’s something a guy should do or not.

They’ll fit just fine. You’ll lose a little over a quarter inch of sidewall.

I bet you could fit 265/65R17s without having to tear out the fender liners but don’t take my word for it.
