Tire chain advise

I have cable chains for the front and v bar for the rear. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra. I wanted to run a larger tire but I did not because of being able to use chains.

My granddad refused to pay extra for a 4x4 but he chained up all 4 when we did it in the 2 wheel drive. I also had to walk home get the tractor if we got stuck.
