My dad picked up a SO 8 man tipi and a 4dog stove for our elk hunt this year. From the ground to the top of the stove pipe is 9'8", but SO recommends 9.5' of stove pipe. Height of the tipi is 8'6" I think. So question being, is 1' of stove pipe sticking out of the top too little or should it be fine? Should we add another section of pipe to get the recommended height?

Not exactly sure, maybe a 1' tall? but with it all set up and stove pipe on, it's 9'8" from the ground to the top of the pipe.

We are expecting snow as it will be a mid November hunt. Thanks Montana, i think it would be wise to get another section of pipe.
