Tines Up Scope Cam Adapter

I have been walking the fence on this as well but have been thinking about the whole kit. The only reason I have not pulled the trigger on It is because the camera is an older model and when you google that model the camera sells on Amazon for $120 or so. I am just waiting for a more current camera. Thanks for posting as I would like to hear some good.

I have been using the adapter with my Olympus tg camera for almost 3 years now. I really like it for what I do. Just buying the adapter and using you own camera is a much better route.

I got one of these myself to use with my Olympus TG2. Have not had a chance to really use it enough to tell you to buy one, but it works pretty slick so far and I plan on playing around with it a bit so I can fully utilize this August on my sheep hunt. You have to get the settings on your camera right and turn off the digital zoom. I just need to put more time in to get it all dialed in. So far I am happy with my purchase.

I have used them a lot. They are OK, they are easy to pack and take good pictures, not great pictures. I take better video than pictures through them. To take good pictures I have to set my camera on 2 sec delay, and I miss most the pictures of something picking up it head. But I don't know of a better way to take pictures a long way off.

The adapter has nothing to do with having to use a delay. The tripod is to blame for that.

If you want to take great pics through a spotting scope, you need to get a remote trigger for your camera.

I wouldn't hesitate buying one for a moment. I've used TinesUp for the past 3, maybe 4 years. I think it is the most simple, versatile and light weight backcountry digiscoping connection available. You do need to use the timed function on your camera or set up your camera with a remote shutter release but this isn't any different than digiscoping with other outfits. I attached the adapter ring to a Canon S95 with JBWeld and it has never failed. Like most or all digiscoping adapters make sure that your digital camera does not have greater than 4X optical zoom. I have purchased 3 different adapters for the three different scopes that I have owned in that time and they have all worked excellent. (Swarovski, Vortex Razor and Zeiss Diascope)
