Hello all,

I am hoping some people on here have experience with one or both of these. The rifle build I am working on is a purpose built hunting rifle. I currently have a triggertech set at just under 2lbs on another hunting rifle and I am pretty happy there. Is the elite hunter pretty nice? Is the HIT worth the price difference knowing I will have it set closer to 2 lbs than 8 oz?

Thanks in advance

I'd match your first trigger. I like to be able to go from rifle to rifle and not have to think about a difference when I ease into the trigger.

I’d have to agree with elk guide if you have one you like stick too it. I struggle switching between my rifles and my brothers all of mine are Jewell set at 1 lb all of his are Calvin elite set at 1lb just enough different outside of weight that it throws me off!

I do the same usually. My carry pistol has the same trigger shoe as my competition pistol etc. However in this case the first rifle is a CA Ridgeline that will likely be sold once I get the new build dialed in. So doing a different trigger on the new build really won't be a bad transition.

Good advice. If I have the option to replace I put a Timney on everything, but all of my rifles break at 2lbs. At one point I had a gaggle of different pull weights for different guns and I wasn't a fan.

The elite hunter is nice (it's on my main rifle), in my opinion (and I'm not as experienced as many on here) that tier of TT, Timney etc are all very good, and all personal preference mostly.
