And how about ATN? As for me they provide good optics with affordable prices. Here you can check all smart devices from official manufacturer.

From what I have been able to find the 12x50s are right around $2,900 day in and day out and based on searching the classifieds here used sets are few are far between. $2,900 is really more than I can justify right now so unless I can get lucky and find a nice used pair it will likely be either 10s or 15s. The 12x50s were the first pair I looked at though...
There's a set in the classifieds right now for 2500 and I know where a never used nib set is for 2400.00.

Don’t know what you’re doing for ranging but Doug at Cameraland has had several demo Leica BRF’s in 10x42 for $1000. Awesome glass. I have used most all the good glass and “I” prefer Leica glass but that’s me. Just another option....

I agree, talk to Doug at CameraLand. This offseason I upgraded from Vortex Diamondback 10x42 and Kaibab 15x56 to Swaro EL 12x50. I know you said the 12x50s are a little outside your budget but the 10x42s should be right about there and they really are as good as people say. Glassing is actually a pleasant experience with my ELs. 10x42 will be be excellent for what you described from elk to Coues deer. Keep in mind you'll have to have the Outdoorsmans stud installed if you want to go that route or get a tripod adapter. I got the stud put in and picked up their adapter and pistol grip to go along with them and if I had to do it over again I wouldn't go any other way. In short, if you get the Swaros (or another top tier brand) you'll never have to even consider upgrading ever. If you have the money and that's what you want don't talk yourself out of it or you'll just end up buying them later anyway.

Based on your options I'd go 10x42 SLC. Definitely keep an eye on the classifieds as well as call Doug as others have mentioned at cameraland. Blackovis also offers a 10% off purchase to RS members.
