Time for a bigger belt?

Bought this Kifaru pack used. My waist size is nominally between small and medium, and I had a good deal on a used frame with a small belt so I grabbed it. But as my ruck weight goes up the belt gets less comfortable. So, couple of questions:

How do I verify the size belt I have?
Would going a size up be more comfortable?
Would the next size up still have room to cinch down over my hips?
Am I simply wearing it wrong?

Thanks guys!

You need to measure your iliac crest and figure it out from there. Each company has different sizing for small, med and large. I know when I tried Initial Ascent I went by their sizing which put me in a medium by their chart. I got it and it was huge so I was a small overall. With my Exo I am in between a small and a medium so I have both. I use the small in summer and early season and when it's late season I use the medium.
You also have your left side pulled way more than your right on the waist belt. You want to get them as even as possible to distribute properly. It also looks like the belt isn't wrapping around your iliac much so you aren't getting any support on your hips. I would even our your belt on the pull straps just to be sure it's too small but from your picture it looks really small but until you do that with your belt you can 't be 100%.
Even though you have a kifaru check out the Exo Mtn pack fitting videos on YouTube or on their website. It shows you basic set up of the packs but that's pretty standard for all packs.
