Tikkas with factory threaded barrels?

Well, I live in Colorado so I have to wait 3 days to bring it home (Grrrrr…). So expect pics this weekend.

I stopped by Scheels today hoping to put my hands on one of these factory threaded Tikkas. I was disappointed to see the T3 was selling for $979 and was not threaded. I asked the guy about threaded T3’s and he looked at me like I was crazy.

I just ordered one of these, figured less than 6 lbs it should work and I like the 20" barrel as a middle ground compromise. I was looking at these exact rifles yesterday in 6.5c. I read in another thread that although the specs list it coming with a 5/8 adapter, many reported NO adapter on their 5/8 threaded barrels. This was primarily 308, IIRC. Does anyone know if 6.5 creed rough techs come threaded 5/8? My other options are finding a direct thread adapter for my Scythe TI or just waiting till the new rifles drop.

It's going to be m15x1 with a 5/8 adapter. I'm most likely going to put an Area 419 adapter on it (they have an m15x1 version) and put their corresponding hub on my Can. I don't care for adapters but I also don't want to have to switch hubs all the time and none of my other rifles have this weird commie thread pattern so going DT is out.

I have no experience with adapters and like the idea of simplicity, but appreciate your perspective of not wanting a bunch of hubs.

I can confirm that the 6.5 PRC I purchased today (new t3x lite SS) does in fact come with 5/8 x 24 threaded barrel. So I would assume the 6.5 CM will be the same. I can’t speak to the rough tech. Sorry.

I just bought the first T3x SS out of the salesman’s hand at scheels. Fresh off the truck this morning. He didn’t even make it to the Tikka rack. 6.5 PRC with 22” SS barrel, threaded. Probably 6.5 lbs with no accessories. Barrel has a taper to the threads. You can find it on their website.
