Tikkas with factory threaded barrels?

Agree. They are not going to be "lite" if they keep a 0.725"+ profile.
For sure... that's been the only thing holding me out on the roughtechs.. D-18 is thick.

There is a thread on here somewhere of 2 barrels (both 24.3"), one T3X and the other D-18 and there was an 8 oz difference I believe.

They didn’t.

If you don’t want to wait, pick up a clearance one from Euro Optic and a prefit from me when I list them later this week.
You mind shooting me a PM with the details on the prefits? I’d DM you but I’m still new to the forum and don’t know how 😂 thanks!

I wonder if this also applies to the compact rifles. I bought a T3x Lite Compact last year in 350L which comes with a 16” barrel. The OD at the muzzle was .675, so to have it threaded 5/8-24, I took Kampfeld’s recommendation and had him add a shoulder. It turned out nice, I just wonder if Tikka starts threading these at the factory if they’d use thicker barrels or thread them to 1/2-28.

I think it would be cool for Tikka to get into the factory carbon fiber barrel side of things. Would obviously be more expensive, but a lot of people are buying tikkas and instantly throwing carbon proofs on them. A factory option would be neat

Here's the new 7rem mag lite contour with their 5/8 thread. A gentle swell over the last 5-6".

Regarding new tikka barrels: I just purchased a 7mm rem mag take off barrel on eBay. 22-1/4” long. Lite contour barrel with the following changes—- It’s .64 @ 4-3/4” from the muzzle. .72 @ the muzzle behind the thread cap shoulder. It weighs 37.2 oz
